How to play

Click to move your character.

Drag to look around the board.  You may have to move the camera to find yourself, in the game you are a green circle.

Objective: Eat opponents smaller than you to get bigger!  You will slowly get bigger over time.

Dogs at the beginning are generated by AI (sabilityai/stable-diffusion-2-1).

We couldn't finish one of the parts we were most excited about sadly.  In the game you would start out a chosen dog.  As you eat other dogs we'd use AI to create new dog mixes depending on who you ate.

This was more difficult than I expected!  I don't have much Flutter or Dart experience, but this was a good way to gain it.  There was times where the project was moving so fast, but the road blocks were also very time consuming. I usually stick to the AI side of things so it's nice to branch out, this event was really fun.

This was a dope, new project to work on! Not only is it our first official collaboration from scratch to release, but we've never used Flutter or Dart before. I also have minimal exposure to Hugging Face, but have a newfound admiration for it from a technical perspective. My only is regret is that we should have started when it was announced...but, that won't keep me from continuing to polish it. ;)

It won't load in the browser

Yeah it seems it's broken in browser, it seems there is 1 line of code change that would fix it, but I'm afraid of changing it as that might break the rules for the GameJam.

Thankfully the Windows version still works

Hey! Are you sure it works on Chromium-based browsers?

It was so hard getting those images to paint onto the canvas! Lol, I know there's a way to do it we just weren't thinking of.

Also, RIP Flutter, you were supposed to make it easy to build for other platforms. :P

haha yep, we were so close to getting one of the best part done.

It would be nice if it was easily runnable through the web-browser, strangely enough it didn't look easy to do.
